LEGAL

The backing.

The platform's legal floor, numbered the way contracts read. The full documents govern — everything here is the plain-English version of them.

  1. Scope first. Every project starts with a written scope — what we build, what it costs, when it's live. The price is fixed for that scope. The deposit on it starts the work; the balance is due when the site is live on your domain. Anything outside the scope is quoted before it's built.
  2. Delivered in full. Once an invoice is paid, the code, design, content and database built for you belong to you. Hosting is a separate monthly choice: keep it on our infrastructure, or take the repository, deployment project, domain and database whenever you want, with the transfer walked with you.
  3. You vouch for your content. You confirm the information you give us is accurate and you have the right to use it. Claims about your business are yours to verify.
  4. Third parties run their own terms. Sites run on services like Vercel, Neon, Shopify, Stripe and Google. We configure them; we don't control their outages or policy changes.
  5. Your money never touches us. Card numbers never reach us, and we never hold your money. Plan purchases settle in Nimos Websites' Stripe account; build invoices settle in the business's own Stripe or Shopify account.
  6. Service windows, not heroics. Changes run on business-day windows by plan. We do not promise 24/7 monitoring or instant response — anyone who promises that is selling you a story.
  7. No guaranteed business results. We build fast, accessible, well-structured sites and stand behind the work. We don't guarantee revenue, traffic, or rankings — nobody honestly can.
  8. Ending it is clean, and taking it is clean. Either side ends ongoing services with written notice. The code, design and content belong to you on payment in full. Hosting is a monthly choice, not a condition: take the repository, the deployment project, the domain and the database whenever you want, and we walk the transfer with you.
  9. BC law governs. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Our privacy practices are written to meet PIPEDA.
  10. Where you are changes the paperwork. For clients in the EEA, the UK or the US, the contract can include your data processing addendum and standard contractual clauses, and can name a different governing law by written agreement.
  11. What you sign is recorded. You accept these terms, the privacy policy and the statement of work before work starts. The record carries the date, each document's version and the hash of the text you were shown, so the agreement cannot be quietly edited afterwards.
  12. “Done” is a published checklist. Delivery is checked against twelve public checks at /audit. A failure is fixed and re-run at no charge, without limit. A pass means the agreed scope has been delivered — evidence, not a guarantee of business results.
