What it is

Where every line of your site's code lives, versioned forever. Every change is a commit with an author and a reason; every past state of the site can be brought back in minutes. If the site moves to the business's accounts, the repository moves with it — that is the whole thing.

What it does for your business

For your business it means ownership in its most literal form: change something you regret and roll back in minutes; hire a different developer and hand them your site instead of a fog of screenshots. Nobody can hold your website hostage.

Why it earns its place

Code ownership is not a slogan if the history exists. Version control is how a change is reviewed, a mistake is reverted, and a client can leave with the work instead of a login.

A build lives in its own repository, and that repository is opened in the client's name. Nobody has been handed one yet — this is the part of the promise that is still ahead of us, not behind us.

Source view

/doc

Selected component source is readable at /doc through the build-story view. The production repository itself stays private.

How it runs here

The app lives in a private repository. Work is committed to a branch, checked locally, merged to main, then deployed by CLI. The repository is the source of truth; the live site is an output.

PUSH A REVIEWED CHANGE

SHELL
$ git status --short$ npm test$ npm run typecheck$ npm run build$ git push origin HEAD:main

When it runs

Every change. A hotfix still has a commit; a deploy still has a parent.

Who owns it

Build writes and commits. QA reads the diff. The operator owns the account and repository access.

What it does not claim

A private repository is still a repository. It does not include client secrets, and it does not make the code public; /doc is a selected source view, not a clone.

THE REFERENCE

The manual above is ours. The vendor's reference is the place to check an API, a version or a limit.
